Biscuits in the shape of a foot with your name iced on them, what every little girl needs for her baptism – right? If you’re Boo then yes! Id got the idea after seeing the same thing on the internet (I really should get the hang of Pinterest so I can share all my pretty internet finds!). I thought they’d make for lovely alternatives to cake wrapped in a napkin and a yummy treat too!
Now for the hard part – to find a company who cam make my idea a reality. I could find plenty of places to have a cake made to order but biscuits were proving a little trickier. I typed cake and biscuit maker into the search bar and allowed Google to take over with its clever location thingymajig that shows results in order of distance from you; seeing as I live in the shire that is Lincoln which in comparison to London is as bleak as the moon so I wasn’t surprised to see that one of the top results was Susan’s Cakes in Newark over 15 miles away. A quick click on her website and I knew this was the lady who could create the Boo foot biscuits.
I e-mailed Susan with a million questions which she was only too happy to answer, never once getting annoyed with what must have seemed like the millionth tweak!
The Friday came before #BoosBaptism and me and Boo headed over to Susan’s house to collect the biscuits – I’m sure you’ll agree they look gorgeous and Boo’s guests can account or their taste matching their looks!
Ok so there’s no flashy showroom or mutlibuy offers but for me there’s something lovely about ordering biscuits from a lady who makes cakes, almost as if a reminder of my childhood and now the conundrum is finding an excuse to order some more yummy biscuits!
Yummmmmmy! I ate mine the other day and it was gorgeous. Loved that the icing was beautifully shimmery too!
They look beautiful. What a lovely idea!
