Fibre: it’s not the sexiest of F words but Arla are on a mission to not only get us talking about fibre but be fussed about how much we’re getting in our daily diet.
Public Health England recommends that adults in the UK consume 30g of dietary fibre per day, however the British Nutrition Foundation has found that most adults only consume 18g. That’s a daily deficit of over a third.
Arla invited me to an immersive lunch last week to launch their brand new yogurt range, Arla Fibre.
As you see, the food was absolutely amazing. Adding to the taste it was revealed that my menu like a few others dotted around the table was in fact much higher in fibre than the rest. It was achieved by subtle swaps to help maximise intake of fibre which is vital for a healthy digestive system.
So not only did my three course meal taste as delicious as it looked, it ticked the box for fibre.
Fibre is one of those things that you just imagine to not taste nice – so I didn’t expect to like the new Arla Fibre strawberry yogurt as much as I did. I was surprised at just how creamy it was with no additional taste – it’s one of those easy swaps you could make during your weekly shop that will help you and your family
Fortified with a natural form of fibre, Arla Fibre is available in four flavours – strawberry, blueberry, pineapple & passionfruit and raspberry providing 4.7g per serving.
Arla are on a mission to get people fussed about fibre and want to make it easy and flavoursome (say bye bye to bland and boring) to get your daily dose of 30g.
Disclosure: I was invited by Arla and received a fee for my time.
