5 years ago I set up Mummy and Boo. Boo was 100 days old and I can remember hitting publish on my first ever post at just before 5pm (oh how I don’t miss the baby witching hour!). Having our blog anniversary on Halloween makes it easy to remember and I never really mark it apart from an excuse to treat myself to a slice of cake but this year feels different. Maybe it’s because we’re just back from the holiday of a lifetime to Universal Orlando with Virgin Holidays or perhaps because I’m starting to really enjoy Youtube but today has been a great opportunity to stop and take stock at just how far we and the blog have come in the last 5 years.
Mummy and Boo has seen us travel the world, enjoy the benefits of me being a work at home mama plus many more amazing opportunities. Whilst there are still many people who screw their face up when I say I’m a blogger and ask how I get ‘freebies’ – please don’t even get me started on that!! It’s starting to feel like the important people in mine and Boo’s life get that blogging is us.
I was trying to find a photo that summed us up and this does it perfectly… here we are barefaced, laughing, adventures galore – we wouldn’t have it any other way!
So here’s to another 5 years of Mummy and Boo the blog, growth, fun and the adventure of a lifetime.
