Pudsey’s Family Fun Day at St Pancras International

Last Saturday I was invited to the Pudsey’s Family Fun Day at St Pancras International in aid of BBC Children in Need; with Boo in hospital at the time it felt like a great event to support.

There was an action packed day on offer to families with activities including: Pudsey Bear’s picnic, treasure hunt, musical performance by Loveable rogues and Pudsey cookie decorating to name but a few!

Being child free for the afternoon I decided to check out the oh so amazing Searcys St Pancras Grand – a champagne bar and brasserie that as soon as you step inside transports you back to sumptuous old school glamour, yet still has a children’s menu; this is my new favourite place in London and I’m setting myself the personal challenge to slowly but surely work my way through their champagne list!

Searcys

My new favourite place!

With afternoon tea and champagne taken care of I headed downstairs to see what the shopping was like.i don’t know about you but I remember St Pancras in the old days and like King’s Cross let’s just say it wasn’t pretty, never in a million years did I think St Pancras would be a destination in itself! After some extensive ‘research’ I can say with great confidence that the shopping is great, there is literally nowhere else that has a Fortnum and Mason store apart from Fortnum and Mason! As well as big brands that you’ll instantly recognise, St Panacras is great for discovering more independent boutiques and eateries that are great for those travelling but also not out-of-place in well known shopping centres.

The biggest treat for me on Saturday (apart from the champagne) was giving myself neck ache, the best of St Pancras is saved for when you look up – beautiful architecture with regular art installations it’s not to be missed; and with shopping and champagne one thing is for sure: you’re bound to be seeing me there a lot more.
