When it comes to sleeping, children can be a tad moody. According to a recent research, by the age of 2, children have spent most of the time sleeping than awake. Almost, 40% of the kids will spend their time asleep. Sleep is a must for a child’s mental and physical development. So follow these simple ways for your child to have a great bedtime.
1. It is always better to avoid your child from those big meals close to bedtime. Give them something which is light and rich in nutrients. Make sure your baby doesn’t consume anything that contains caffeine. It reduces the sleeping hours of a child. So keep away your little one from it
2. It is better to avoid your kid from all those stimulating activities after dinner
3. Set a time and warn your child may be once or twice before its actual bed time for him/her to go and sleep
4. It is always better to avoid scary tv programmes and films as this will affect the child’s development of brain and activates negative energy. So make sure you read his/her favorite book every night. This gives children a positive vibe.
5. Avoid singing lullaby or rocking to make your child sleep, because in case if your child wakes in the middle of the night he/she may need you to sing or rock back to sleep.
6. Make sure the room temperature in which your child sleeps shouldn’t be too cold or too warm.
7. Give your child some of his/her favourite toys and convince them by telling that their toys also sleep along with them. This will make them feel protective.
