Where Should I Spend The New Year?

Whether you like it or not the festive season is fast approaching and with the majority of my Christmas shopping done (yes I am that annoying type of person who likes everything done and dusted by the end of October) and plans for the big day all sorted, it’s time I turn my attention to New Years Eve and New Years Day,

Pre Boo were standard in terms of seeing in the New Year, however those with children will know that it’s one of those celebrations that’s never really the same once little ones are among you; spend the equivalent of a small nations GDP on a babysitter for the evening and constantly check in to make sure they’re ok or abandon all plans of celebrating the New Year and sit in with a glass of wine and head to bed before the chimes – can you sense my familiarity with the latter?

However one option which I’ve not considered before is a staycation style break that’s fun for both Mummy and Boo. While only a week after Christmas, New Year wasn’t even on my radar however knowing that there are some great options available that aren’t too far away is definitely food for thought – because you can never have too many adventures!
